Video and film cranes
The Louma Crane is known worldwide as the original and most versatile remote camera crane, used in many areas of the Film and TV Industries - feature films, commercials, concerts and promos. The Louma was designed and developed by (and takes it's name from) Jean-Marie LavaLOU & Alain MAsseron working with David Samuelson in London & Paris. The Louma was the very first remote controlled camera crane (recognised by the awarding of an 'Oscar' by the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2005). The Louma has been regularly updated to incorporate developing technologies and, from starting out as specialised piece of equipment it has established the remote controlled crane as an everyday filmmaking tool.
